Cressi Adult Dive Mask with Advanced Fog System and Improved Downward Visibility

The Quantum mask's key innovation is its ability to enhance downward vision while effectively preventing fogging through internal thermoregulation. The warm, damp air exiting the nose is channeled by a system of membranes set in the molding around the eyes and nose, diverting the flow towards the rubber skirt rather than the lenses. This external part of the skirt features a cooling system composed of two small heat exchangers that act as radiators. The result is that the temperature inside the mask drops, approaching the external temperature, and the droplets of humidity are trapped before the air reaches the lenses, preventing them from fogging up.

Despite the presence of the small internal membranes deviating the airflow and the external heat exchangers, the Quantum mask's body remains compact, representing the most advanced design in the underwater vision market. The lenses are not chemically treated, and it is recommended to clean them carefully with toothpaste, dishwashing detergent, or even a lighter to burn away any volatile materials and dust that may have collected on the glass. Using saliva as a surfactant before each dive is also helpful.

The Quantum mask features Cressi's Advanced Stop Fog system, which traps the moisture escaping from the nose, drastically reducing fogging. The moist air exiting the nose is conveyed by a system of membranes embedded in the molding around the eyes and nose, diverting the flow towards the rubber skirt rather than the lenses.

The mask also boasts the world's first design with heat exchangers acting as radiators. This unique feature allows the temperature inside the goggle to drop as it approaches the outside temperature, and the droplets of moisture are trapped before the air reaches the lenses, preventing them from fogging up.

Additionally, the Quantum mask features inclined and inverted tear-drop lenses for improved downward visibility, a Cressi patented design (US 6272693). The buckles are integrated with the frame and have a swivel system, making them easy to use for quick strap length adjustment. This technology is also patented by Cressi (US 8281417 B2).
